Blue Moon Outfitters

What's in a name anyway?   People often ask me about what Blue Moon Outfitters means to me.

Blue Moon has many personal meanings to me. The two most significant are that it honors my small amount of Native American heritage as well as speaks to my interests in astronomy.  I use the term Outfitters in reference to preparing and being equipped for the journey of life.  After all, it is the great expedition…

While my imagery and musings are for my own amusement; hopefully if we are kindred spirits they will resonate with you and bring some joy to your life.  If they provide food for thought, so much the better…

People occasionally ask to know a little bit more about me.  This sums it up pretty well...

Progeny of a lustful union between a Native American and a renegade Republic of Texas pioneer provided the spiritual foundation and driving force that shaped me.  Seeking the truth since my youth, I’m passionate about living life in the moment and I’m drawn to experience the wonders of our universe, both the physical and spiritual…

A global circumnavigator, dozens of times over, I’ve been fortunate to explore our planet.  Diving the Great Barrier Reef, star gazing under the darkest skies on our planet, discovering Mayan Cenotes, hiking the Great Wall, meditating in Tibet and sharing freshly harvested game with friends around an open fire while we sing and listen to Texas Music all contribute to who I am.

While the joy of life is available to all, I hope that my life experience will help many understand the true joy of the journey – living in the moment - because that is where we experience the gift of life…
